"From the soil of Iron Station, we grow more than grapes — we grow tradition."

Our Story

Rooted in the Carolina soil, crafted with intention.

Vesuvius Vineyards began with a simple conviction: that exceptional wine doesn't require distant hills or old-world machinery — it requires patience, good earth, and a willingness to let nature lead.

Nestled along Vesuvius Furnace Road in Iron Station, our vineyard draws on the unique terroir of the North Carolina piedmont. The clay-rich soil, the afternoon breezes rolling off the surrounding ridges, the long growing seasons — all of it shapes every bottle we pour.

Alongside our wines, we bake. Daily. Because a tasting room should feel like a home, not a showroom. Our sourdough, pastries, and seasonal specialties are made in small batches, right here, to complement the flavors we've spent years perfecting in the vineyard.

From Our Kitchen

Fresh from the oven, paired with wine from the vine.

We believe a wine tasting should engage every sense. That's why our kitchen fires up every morning — sourdough loaves with crackling crusts, buttery croissants, seasonal tarts, and savory pastries that arrive at your table warm and ready.

Our pairings are designed with intention. The staff can guide you through which bread complements which barrel, which pastry elevates which pour. It's not an afterthought — it's half the experience.

Curated Pairings

Every item on our menu is matched with a wine to enhance both flavors.

Locally Sourced Ingredients

Flour, dairy, and seasonal produce sourced from nearby Carolina farms.

Baked Daily, Never Frozen

Everything is made from scratch each morning. What's on the shelf today was baked today.
